Barrington Concours takes novel approach to vehicle classes
Instead of having dozens of judging classes that cover all types of collector vehicles, the Barrington Concours d’Elegance, located near Chicago, limits the entries to a few distinct categories, defined by make and genre.
Here are the classes for the 2013 show:
- Avions Voisin Cars, including six from the Mullin Automotive Museum, Oxnard, California
- French Streamlined Cars and Other European Pre-War Cars
- Duesenbergs and Other American Pre-War Vehicles
- Indy Cars (with the assistance of racers Bobby Rahal
and Don Devine) - Porsche: Celebrating the 50th
- Corvette: Celebrating Corvette’s 60th Anniversary
- Mini Cars
- Vincent Motorcycles & Other Motorcycles TBD
- European Post-War Cars
- American Post-War/Muscle Cars
- Survivor Class
